HOW IT WORKS: WELCOME TO DE BEER PORTRAITURE
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PORTRAIT SESSION?
We begin with an in-person consultation to get to know you and to talk about the type of portrait session you want and how to prepare.
Also, included: A hair and make up session with a professional stylist. A two hour portrait session in the comfort of our studio with hor d' oeuvres and refreshments. Gentle coaching in poses that flatter you and make you feel beautiful and confident. A private reveal session to see your beautiful portraits finished, in digital format where you choose your favorites to be printed. A final session where you receive your portraits printed and ready to take home and enjoy for a lifetime.
HOW MUCH DOES A PORTRAIT SESSION COST?
Booking fee is R450 (for one) and includes the styling, photoshoot, and reveal sessions. My prints start at R190 and go up from there. My beautiful folio box collections start at R1050 and go up from there. What you buy is entirely up to you. If you don't like your portraits you don't have to buy them. My job is to take beautiful portraits of you that you absolutely LOVE and can't live without. Every portrait you purchase will also include the high-resolution digital version on a personalised DVD.
PREPARING FOR YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION:
WHAT DO I NEED TO GET READY FOR MY PORTRAIT SESSION:
At least a week or two before your portrait session treat yourself, visit your favorite salon for a little touch up and a mani/pedi. I don't recommend trying or experimenting a drastic new style before your portrait session. Just do enough to make yourself look and feel your best. We will go into more detail on this during your consultation.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY PORTRAIT SESSION?
This will depend on what type of portrait session you want and how you will be displaying or using your portraits. We will talk about what to wear during your consultation and all the outfits and accessories you'll want to bring to your portrait session.
FAQ's
WILL MY PORTRAITS BE RETOUCHED OR EDITED?
Most of what I do is done in camera during your portrait session with flattering posing and beautiful lighting. I retouch skin tone, blemishes, stray hairs, imperfections in fabric and lightly enhance to bring out your natural beauty. If there is anything specific you would like me to edit please let me know during your consultation.
CAN I SCHEDULE MY PORTRAIT SESSION ON A WEEKEND?
Because I am currently employed full time and do the portrait sessions part time, the best time to book your session is on a Saturday. Take this day to enjoy this pamper session and afterwards go out with your friends for a girls' night or schedule a date night with your significant other - because you are going to look and feel fabulous afterwards!
DO YOU OFFER GROUP PORTRAIT SESSIONS?
Absolutely! Schedule a double portrait session and enjoy this amazing experience with your sister, mother, daughter or your best friend. There will be a booking fee of R400 for every person extra that will do need make up and hair styling. Just let me know during your consultation so we can schedule the stylist to accommodate.
